Nick and Tracey Billington

We’ve been lucky in life, we literally married our best friends. Having met through Scuba Diving and been dive buddies for around ten years we got together after a drunken kiss and married just over twelve months later. The adventures together started on our honey moon where we backpacked around Asia for 5 weeks and spent the first night of our honeymoon in a brothel in China (it had been emptied of the girls due to the following days total solar eclipse). We both love the outdoors and hate shopping. Our close families consist of one parent each; Nick has a daughter who is all grown up and married with three of her own children and two springer spaniels one of which is a gotcha dog from a previous family whose circumstances had changed. Our dogs either stay with a close friend when we travel abroad or they come with us in our self built camper whenever possible and they have at least 15 stamps in their passports of their own. Our glasses are always half full and our motto is that ‘Life is Great!’.

Our story

Both of us have full-time jobs - I work as a special needs teacher and Tracey is a local government officer. Despite our busy schedules, we make sure to prioritize our travels. Our two furry freeloading companions also accompany us whenever possible. We have always sought out thrilling adventures, whether it's backpacking through Asia, riding motorcycles over the majestic Himalayas, diving in awe-inspiring locations, or even braving the most dangerous path in the world, the Mt Huashan plank walk in the sky. We have had the incredible opportunity to dive in amazing locations alongside a variety of species of shark, humpback whales, and giant mantas to name a few. Lately, we have fully embraced the campervan lifestyle and spend as much time as we can exploring the world in our own self-built van. Unbound by restrictions, we don't limit ourselves - so far, we have explored 17 countries in our van and combined over 70 countries between us. Our goal is to visit many more.
